Well... We had completed our Pic Day 2! I must say that it was a lot of fun. First Church of Christ had provided us a wonderful facility, and we want to take this chance to say THANK YOU! I want to share with you our best team photo for Pic Day 2. This team is all about team spirit... these young children are full of energy! I personally enjoyed Coach Schultz's cheerful and positive attitude. One day, when my Elaine is ready for sports, we will be in his team!! Enjoy this awesome team posing "Muscle Men" for us! I just have to post this... Last Saturday, we took team photos for 27 teams. This turned out to be my favorite team photo of all!! Look at the expressions and team spirit of the coaches and kids... this is what a team is all about, not just winning the game, but also having fun, leadership and sportsmanship.

YMCA Pic Days COOL Stuffs

It's coming again!! I am so looking forward to seeing you this Saturday. I had been busy putting all the Action Shots on our Website because I couldn't wait to show everybody!!! Simon had done a great job again this soccer season. He'd not only gotten the exciting Action Shots, but also took plenty of funny shots and beautiful, heartwarming shots (those are my favorite!!!). I am not trying to brag about my husband's talent... but do you know that he won his first 1st prize in photography at the age of 12??!! That's right. People did not believe they were seeing and competing with a kid when he walked up to claim his prize, a pro level Minolta film camera, that he still keeps after more than 25 years.

Anyway, enough of bragging :-) This pic season, we will still be offering our Tag My ChildTM Action Collages, only this time, with more colors! Like always, I had randomly picked 4 kids to be the Action Models for my collage samples. There are 2 standard sizes and 2 poster sizes that I created. You know the rules... if you see you son or daughter on one of our samples, just tell everyone,"THAT'S MY CHILD!!". Yes, just like that! And we'll include that collage for you, FREE!!

New Cool Stuff for this season is 2009 Calendar with your child's sports picture!! Get ready for the new year, or send a calendar to Grandparents with their favorite grandchild's picture. How cool can that be???

We will also be featuring some 4X6 Action Shots (again, randomly picked) that Simon had taken. You can "Pick & Pay" these Action Shots at $2 each on pic days.

Jennifer Is Back!!

I disappeared for a good 8 weeks. Some of you had heard about me going to NKU for an intensive summer program. That was true. Late last May, I accepted a scholarship from NKU to participate at their certification for Kentucky world language teachers. I was attending classes every weekdays from 9 am till 4:30 pm for 7 whole weeks (except July 4th).... 12 credit hours of graduate studies. I must say I am glad its all over! The most valuable class I had was Child & Adolescent Development for Educators. Many of you had already know that I love working with children and can handle them quite well, thanks to my years and years of piano teaching... knowing even more about the development and psychology of children now, I am sure I can serve our little children on YMCA picture days even better!

I want to thank all the YMCA parents for the great baseball season this summer. Our picture day was full of fun. I especially loved the memory of us having to shelter at the PMP canopies when it was raining cats and dogs outside!

I am in the process of creating a special gallery titled "The Joy of Parenthood". The gallery will feature candid shots that we captured when we were out in the field taking pictures this baseball season. Stay tune... you'll love it!!

Take Me To A Ball Game

It was a fun, Fun, FUN Saturday morning for us yesterday!!! We were invited to take individual/team photos plus Action Shots for the Conradi Roofing Rockies Baseball Team at Franzen Field, Villa Hills. These boys are 10 and 11 years old... and Boy! they look and play like PROS!!!! Here's a shot the boys posed for us after winning the game. Way to go, Rockies!!!!

May 17, 2008... A bunch of students from North Pointe Elementary brought back fond memories for me. That evening, these very talented young actors and actresses performed the famous lyrical, The Pirates of Penzance. Why did it mean so much to me? Well, it was because it brought back memories of myself when I was frequently on stage performing piano recitals. Having a Master's Degree in Music and having taught music for more than 15 years, I must say that I was totally impressed and amazed by the talents we have at North Pointe. I sincerely congratulate Mrs. Holmes for doing such a great job coaching the students. I sincerely applaud the students for such a great performance. YMCA Spring Pictures Season Officially Over!!

I had buried myself, for the past couple weeks, with photos!!! We did the last few shots Saturday morning and I am officially announcing that we had completed our Spring Youth Soccer and Youth Flag Football Pictures. We had delivered most of your orders, either to Don or to your Coach... Pictures for the last 7 teams will be in by next week.

We want to thank you for your support and business. For the past couple weeks, we heard lots of compliments and encouragement from you guys. It was a great feeling to hear good feedback about our work. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

The photos you are seeing around are few of my favorite pictures of the 4/5 Gold Team... It has a heart-warming story behind too...

Jonathan's Daddy came to watch his son play the game. He was leaving home again to serve the country the next day. The team made a beautiful banner and we took photos for them that will last memories of a lifetime.... We also took the opportunity to capture a few more shots of Johnny with Daddy and Little Bro. It was a meaningful moment....

Picture Day - Cancelled

So, it didn't work out... Don and I were at Boone Woods Park checking the field condition at 7 am. We decided to call off soccer games and pictures, but since football schedules are later, we thought the weather should turn around. We decided to keep the football schedule. It really wasn't looking too bad at 8:30 am but what did I know, right?? At 9:30 am, Simon and I started to set up. We put up the canopy and guess what?? The rain just started to pour, and poured, and poured. Heavily. There was no way we can take pictures in that condition outdoor!

So, our new Picture Days are scheduled for May 10 and May 17. This time, with Don's wisdom and help, we will go indoor if it rains!

New schedule will be out very soon. So, please check back! We do want to apologize for your inconvenience today! We look forward to seeing you in the next couple of weeks!

P.S. This is so funny that it's not even funny to me anymore... as of now, at 11:15 am, the sky is clear and the rain is stopped. Perfect to take pictures.... but you want to bet? Once we put up the canopy, it will pour again!!!! LOL

YMCA Sports Picture Day - May 3

Don't forget! This Saturday, May 3, is our 1st Picture Day!! The schedule for the teams' individual and team pictures are posted on the QuickScores website... Here's the link.

This season, we are introducing the new "My First Season" Action Collage. We had seen and taken so many cute pictures of our 3 yrs old soccer players, and 4/5 yrs old football players. "My First Season" Action Collage will give parents fond memories for years to come. We are still offering our 4-Pic-Action and 1-Pic-Action Collages. They got so popular last basketball season! Please be reminded that we take only cash or check. Please make your checks payable to PMP.

Here's the fun part! We have created samples of these collages for you to see on Picture Days. I had randomly picked 3 of our R.C. Durr YMCA Youth Sports athletics to make these samples. On Picture Days, if you notice your child is featured in one of our samples, just tell everybody,"That's My Child!!" Yes!! Just like that!! We'll include that collage in your package, free of charge, for you!!!

All coaches will get 10% off of your purchase.... on behalf of all the parents and kids, thank you for your hard work!

What a pleasure to photograph Katie, Bradley and Baby Nick. Our main theme was "Cowboys"... and we had so much fun with hay bales, wooden barrel and cowboy hats. We love how the pictures turned out. My favorite, personally, are the photographs of Baby Nick in the giant tea cup... and to be honest, I think he loved being in there too! Look at the sparkling eyes and cute smiles he gave us!!
