The Pirates of Penzance

May 17, 2008... A bunch of students from North Pointe Elementary brought back fond memories for me. That evening, these very talented young actors and actresses performed the famous lyrical, The Pirates of Penzance. Why did it mean so much to me? Well, it was because it brought back memories of myself when I was frequently on stage performing piano recitals. Having a Master's Degree in Music and having taught music for more than 15 years, I must say that I was totally impressed and amazed by the talents we have at North Pointe. I sincerely congratulate Mrs. Holmes for doing such a great job coaching the students. I sincerely applaud the students for such a great performance. YMCA Spring Pictures Season Officially Over!!

I had buried myself, for the past couple weeks, with photos!!! We did the last few shots Saturday morning and I am officially announcing that we had completed our Spring Youth Soccer and Youth Flag Football Pictures. We had delivered most of your orders, either to Don or to your Coach... Pictures for the last 7 teams will be in by next week.

We want to thank you for your support and business. For the past couple weeks, we heard lots of compliments and encouragement from you guys. It was a great feeling to hear good feedback about our work. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

Jonathan's Daddy came to watch his son play the game. He was leaving home again to serve the country the next day. The team made a beautiful banner and we took photos for them that will last memories of a lifetime.... We also took the opportunity to capture a few more shots of Johnny with Daddy and Little Bro. It was a meaningful moment....

Picture Day - Cancelled

So, it didn't work out... Don and I were at Boone Woods Park checking the field condition at 7 am. We decided to call off soccer games and pictures, but since football schedules are later, we thought the weather should turn around. We decided to keep the football schedule. It really wasn't looking too bad at 8:30 am but what did I know, right?? At 9:30 am, Simon and I started to set up. We put up the canopy and guess what?? The rain just started to pour, and poured, and poured. Heavily. There was no way we can take pictures in that condition outdoor!

So, our new Picture Days are scheduled for May 10 and May 17. This time, with Don's wisdom and help, we will go indoor if it rains!

New schedule will be out very soon. So, please check back! We do want to apologize for your inconvenience today! We look forward to seeing you in the next couple of weeks!

P.S. This is so funny that it's not even funny to me anymore... as of now, at 11:15 am, the sky is clear and the rain is stopped. Perfect to take pictures.... but you want to bet? Once we put up the canopy, it will pour again!!!! LOL

YMCA Sports Picture Day - May 3

Don't forget! This Saturday, May 3, is our 1st Picture Day!! The schedule for the teams' individual and team pictures are posted on the QuickScores website... Here's the link.

This season, we are introducing the new "My First Season" Action Collage. We had seen and taken so many cute pictures of our 3 yrs old soccer players, and 4/5 yrs old football players. "My First Season" Action Collage will give parents fond memories for years to come. We are still offering our 4-Pic-Action and 1-Pic-Action Collages. They got so popular last basketball season! Please be reminded that we take only cash or check. Please make your checks payable to PMP.

Here's the fun part! We have created samples of these collages for you to see on Picture Days. I had randomly picked 3 of our R.C. Durr YMCA Youth Sports athletics to make these samples. On Picture Days, if you notice your child is featured in one of our samples, just tell everybody,"That's My Child!!" Yes!! Just like that!! We'll include that collage in your package, free of charge, for you!!!

All coaches will get 10% off of your purchase.... on behalf of all the parents and kids, thank you for your hard work!
